Jessica Bridger is an urbanist, journalist and consultant based in Switzerland.

Jessica Bridger is an urbanist, journalist and consultant. She works across sectors and spheres of knowledge on bespoke strategy, development and communications projects. A dual foundation in urbanism and journalism informs her work, with throughlines to sustainability and innovation. She has worked with governmental organizations, corporations, and universities, and she serves as a sparring partner for organizations of all sizes active in the urban realm. Her clients include the Schindler Group, UN-Habitat, the European Roundtable for Industry (ERT), OnCities2030, and the ETH Zurich.
As a contributing editor for Monocle, she reports from around the world in print and on the radio. Additionally, she is a freelance journalist and is the author/editor of various books, including Metropolis Nonformal (ORO/ARD 2016), Textbook by Kees Christiaanse (NAI 2018) and the European Roundtable for Industry's ERT 40.
In 2024 she was a Visiting Senior Fellow in the Department of Architecture at the National University of Singapore. She holds a MLArch from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, and a certificate in Global Business from Harvard Business School (online).
Moving between moderation and presentation, Bridger has worked around the world to support public knowledge about the importance of media reporting on urban development issues, working with OnCities 2030, United Cities and Local Governments, UN-Habitat and Habitat for Humanity, among others. She has also lectured about working across boundaries and disciplines to achieve sustainable and inclusive development at academic institutions including Harvard University, University of Virginia, National University of Singapore, Cambridge University.
